Many people do not realise that bad teeth cause heart disease. The mouth is one of the ‘dirtiest’ places in the human body. There are 20 billion bugs of 650 varieties in the human mouth. Not all of those bacteria cause disease. Some bacteria in the mouth cause disease only when the body is weakened by illness or stress.

The gums get inflamed when the bacteria in the mouth build up. This medical condition is called periodontitis. The bugs from the inflamed gums travel to the heart and blood vessels, causing inflammation. That is how bad teeth cause heart disease.

Periodontosis is a gums and teeth disease that needs to be treated by a dentist as soon as possible. Some remedies help to treat periodontosis. One of those remedies is Vitamin C or Ascorbic acid.

Some toothpaste and toothbrushes are designed to help with gum disease.
